报告摘要：In this talk, we consider the nonlinear wave equation in inhomogeneous media, which is modeled by the variable coefficient wave equation. By taking the periodic solutions as a breakthrough, we study the dynamical complexity of its solutions and find the essentially different dynamical behaviors for the spatially inhomogeneous wave equation.
报告人简介：冀书关，东北师范大学教授、博士生导师，数学与统计学院院长，国家杰出青年科学基金获得者，国务院政府特殊津贴专家，兼任中国数学会常务理事、吉林省工业与应用数学学会副理事长和吉林省运筹学会副理事长。主要从事微分方程与动力系统研究，于《Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal.》、《SIAM J. Appl. Math.》、《Calc. Var. Partial Differential Equations》和《J. Differential Equations》等学术刊物发表论文70余篇，主持国家自然科学基金和国家重点研发计划课题等项目10余项，获得全国百篇优秀博士学位论文提名奖、吉林省自然科学奖一等奖（第1完成人）和吉林省青年科技奖等多项奖励和荣誉。
