Abstract. Inverse eigenvalue and singular value problems (IESP) have been widely discussed for decades. This talk to propose a mix of skills from Riemannian geometry and inexact Newton methods for solving the IESP. In theory, this method converges globally and quadratically. Numerical examples are shown to demonstrate the accuracy of method.
